Lesley Beake is an award-winning writer and champion of children’s reading, directing the South African non-profit organisation Children’s Book Network. We met when I started my Masters fieldwork in Clanwilliam in 2011 and we have been good friends ever since.
Toast Coetzer is a journalist, photographer and writer that everyone we met on our travels seemed to know! Toast happens to live next door to Lesley. As a seasoned traveller and creative soul, he was an especially welcome member of the team.
